The selection provides a concise history of Arshile Gorky's work, from his early experiments with Post-Impressionism and Cubism to his paintings and drawings of the late 1940s. Titles that appear in italics are those that were given by Gorky or were used in public exhibitions and publications during the artist’s lifetime. Posthumous titles appear in roman text.
